O Spotify Wrapped não é o único serviço oferecendo uma recapitulação de fim de ano. Além das análises de outros serviços de streaming e redes sociais, o Google Fotos também está fornecendo aos usuários uma retrospectiva dos principais momentos do ano com o recurso “2024 Recap”.
Este recurso reúne memórias, insights e fotos, podendo ser complementado por legendas geradas por IA.
Disponível para usuários selecionados nos EUA, o recurso permite que aqueles que optaram por usar IA no Google Fotos adicionem legendas personalizadas às suas fotos.
As legendas, criadas pelo modelo Gemini AI do Google, destacam os maiores momentos do ano, como viagens, celebrações e marcos importantes.

Além das legendas, a recapitulação inclui métricas personalizadas, como o número de fotos e vídeos tirados, bem como o total de horas de filmagem.
O recurso foi projetado para ser compartilhado em outras plataformas de mídia social, oferecendo uma forma de revisitar momentos especiais fora do aplicativo.
No entanto, nem sempre as fotos refletem apenas os momentos felizes. Muitas vezes, elas registram momentos difíceis da vida, como perdas pessoais ou eventos traumáticos.
A IA ainda não é capaz de discernir quais fotos os usuários preferem evitar, o que pode tornar a recapitulação desconfortável para alguns.
Apesar disso, se seu ano foi positivo, o “Recap” pode ser uma maneira divertida de compartilhar suas memórias com amigos e familiares.
O recurso está sendo lançado agora, e os usuários serão notificados quando sua recapitulação estiver disponível. Para usar as legendas de IA, é necessário habilitar o modelo Gemini no Google Fotos.
